Volunteering at St Augustine's College

Volunteers play an important part in supporting many of the activities we provide at the College. While we don't wish to make it difficult for them to support these activities, it is also important that we have clear processes around the identification of all visitors to our College and importantly that we are compliant with the legislation around Student Protection and the Work Place Health and Safety Act. The following information is provided to all volunteers who support the work we do at the College.
Volunteers in classrooms, at the tuckshop, uniform shop, library, College events/functions or any other type of work are requested to make themselves aware of the information provided below, complete and sign the required documents and return all documents to the Main Reception of the Administration Building.
Signing In/Signing Out Process
On your arrival at the College and before going to your place of volunteering; all volunteers must:
- sign in at the Main Reception of the Administration building on your arrival to the College, and
- sign out at the Main Reception of the Administration building on your departure from the College.
Upon signing in at the College, volunteers will receive a Visitors' Badge, which must be worn for the entirety of your time at the College. The Visitors' Badge is to be returned upon signing out of the College
Student Protection Training and Workplace Health & Safety Training
It is a requirement of Brisbane Catholic Education and St Augustine’s College that all volunteers complete relevant training each year.

Before commencing a role as volunteer or other personnel within the College, you are required to read the Code of Conduct and complete relevant training. You can do this by clicking here.
After you complete this training, you will be able to download, print and fill out a Registration Form which should be returned to the College.
